The Little Owl Box is constructed from a naturally durable FSC timber, it is Robust in its design and will last for many years.

The Owl Box has a lockable inspection/cleaning hatch and the entrance hole is reduced in size to deter larger owl species.

The Little Owl numbers have declined in recent years, they feed mainly on invertibrates, small mammals such as mice, voles and shrews but may sometimes take small birds

Small and dumpy in appearance, it can often be seen sitting on top of a post, pole or some other type of perch where a good view of the surrounding area is provided. The little owl will mainly hunt at dawn or dusk. It is very common for a little owl to return the same box year after year with one being recorded to do just that over a 25 year term!
