Solar Insect Theatre

A fascinating and interactive feature in the garden, the Solar Insect Theatre is constructed from durable and long-lasting FSC Timber. The Insect Theatre features a glazed front for easy viewing and unique solar lighting with its own storage batteries that automatically light up at dusk to attract Moths, Lacewings, Butterflies and other interesting flying insects into the Theatre. The light automatically turns off at dawn to reveal the insects inside.

Plant material or sturdy branches can be introduced into the Theatre through the access door at the side which can also be used to remove insects for study purposes. The lower shelf has several Solitary Bee nesting holes as an added habitat. (Note; in the winter months the theatre can be filled with bark or straw to provide over-wintering for Lacewings and Ladybirds).

Siting: Place in a warm area close to insect attracting plants and out of the prevailing wind.
